LR appoints Edward Koo as Strategic Business Partner and VP for Hong Kong 

Lloyd's Register (LR) has announced the appointment of Edward Koo as its new Strategic Business Partner and Senior Responsible Person (Vice President) for Hong Kong.  

In his new role, Edward will lead LR's strategic client relationship management for the region's most influential maritime clients while serving as the senior representative for LR in Hong Kong.   

Edward's appointment strengthens LR's commitment to delivering exceptional client-focused services across the Hong Kong maritime sector, with particular emphasis on building multi-level relationships with strategic accounts.

Edward brings over a decade of maritime industry experience to LR. Most recently, he served as Group Chief Operations Officer at Tai Chong Cheang Steamship Co. (TCC), where he led the commercial and technical operations for the company’s bulker and tanker fleets.  

Edward also led the company’s R&D project developing proprietary emission reduction technology for existing and newbuilding vessels. Prior to joining TCC, Edward worked as an IT Operations Business Analyst at Chevron corp., supporting pricing operations for finished products at owned and franchised global gasoline stations.
