Marintec China 2025 opens its doors showcasing greener, smarter future collaboration

Taking place this week in Shanghai, Marintec China is enjoying its most successful edition yet. Under the theme ‘Innovation and Collaboration for Maritime Sustainability’, the landmark event is breaking break previous records in exhibition scale, international participation, and professional programming, reaffirming its status as one of the world’s largest maritime exhibitions, report co-organisers Informa Markets and the Shanghai Society of Naval Architects & Marine Engineers (SSNAME).

The 2025 edition of the event spans 11 exhibition halls and covers a record-breaking 110,000 square metres, hosting over 2,200 exhibitors from more than 40 countries and regions, including 16 national and regional pavilions. Overseas exhibitors account for 43% of the total, with over 100,000 professional visitors anticipated from 100+ countries and regions.

Leading names such as China State Shipbuilding Corporation, COSCO Shipping Group, China Merchants Industry Group, ZPMC, China Classification Society, and Hengli are all exhibiting..

In line with global priorities, low-carbon and zero-carbon technologies are taking centre stage at Marintec China. For the first time, the event introduces the Marintec Innovation – Energytec Zone, showcasing cutting-edge solutions from leading marine renewable energy enterprises.

Running concurrently with the exhibition, the Senior Maritime Forum is exploring the theme ‘Smart Navigation, Green Coexistence, Integrated Innovation’ across five sessions spotlighting digitalisation, green innovation, and energy-efficient technologies.
