Columbia Shipmanagement expands global network with new office in Türkiye
Columbia Group has expanded its presence in Türkiye/Turkey with the opening of a new, larger office space that will support the continued growth of its operations in the region.
The new premises will be shared with Italmar Horizon, a joint venture between Horizon Shipping and Columbia Shipmanagement (CSM), strengthening collaboration between the two organisations and creating a dynamic operational environment for their teams.
The move reflects the expansion of CSM’s activities in Turkey, with increased staffing and significantly larger office space to accommodate the company’s growing regional presence. The expanded facility will allow the CSM Turkey team to broaden its service offering and take on additional clients from across the region beyond its existing portfolio, reinforcing the company’s commitment to supporting the regional maritime industry.
General Manager at CSM Turkey Ozgur Gunes said: “We are very pleased to open this new office in Istanbul, which represents an important step in the continued development of our operations in Turkey. With a larger space and an expanding team, we are well positioned to further strengthen our support to clients in the region and build new partnerships.”
“Turkey remains a strategically important maritime market. This expansion allows us to deepen our engagement with regional stakeholders while enhancing our operational capabilities and responsiveness to client needs,” added Xanthos Kyriacou, Managing Director at CSM Turkey.
Christis Marcoullis, Managing Director of Italmar Horizon, said: “Sharing this new office space creates valuable opportunities for collaboration and synergy between our teams. We look forward to working closely together as we continue to grow our activities in Istanbul and the wider region.”
Situated in one of the world’s most important maritime hubs, the new Istanbul office further strengthens Columbia Group’s global network and supports its strategy of maintaining a strong local presence in key shipping centres.
