Singapore Maritime Week 2026 to mark 20th edition of flagship event
Singapore Maritime Week (SMW) 2026 opens in one week’s time, marking the event’s 20th edition with a celebration of progress, partnerships, and purpose. Since its inception, SMW has grown from a regional gathering to Asia's premier maritime platform, reflecting Singapore's evolution into a world-leading maritime hub.
Taking place 20-24 April, the annual flagship event is organised by the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore (MPA) in partnership with stakeholders of Maritime Singapore. This year’s speakers will include: Gan Kim Yong, Singapore’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Trade and Industry; Ong Kim Pong, Group Ceo, PSA International; Andreas Sohmen-Pao, Chairman, BW Group; Geraldine Chin, Chairman and MD, ExxonMobil Asia Pacific; Chen Bing, Chairman, President and CEO, Seaspan Corporation; Jotaro Tamura, President, Mitsui O.S.K. Lines; and Dr Martin Stopford, economist and author.
Dedicated tracks and exhibition zones will spotlight digitalisation, sustainability and emerging technologies, aligning with the sector’s shift towards digital transformation, green shipping, and manpower development. The overarching theme of ‘Actions Meet Ambition”’ underscores the maritime industry’s drive to turn bold ideas into tangible outcomes, and reflects Singapore’s commitment to collaborate, innovate and implement solutions that will define the next chapter of maritime excellence.
