Dates and first sponsor announced for London International Shipping Week 2027

Hot on the heels of the hugely successful London International Shipping Week 2025, Shipping Innovation today confirms that the next edition, LISW27, will run from 13–17 September 2027 across the UK capital, once again uniting global leaders from shipping, finance, regulation, insurance, ports and technology for a week of high-level dialogue and deal-making.

The Headline Conference will return to the London headquarters of the International Maritime Organization (IMO) on Wednesday 15 September 2027, with IMO Secretary-General Arsenio Dominguez confirming the date early to avoid any possibility of scheduled IMO business conflicting with LISW.

Llewellyn Bankes-Hughes, co-founder of London International Shipping Week said: “With more than 350 official events and an estimated 35,000 people taking part in LISW25, the bar has been set very high for 2027, but planning for LISW27 is well underway and key venues are already lined up to host the cornerstone events as London once again becomes the global meeting place for maritime.”

Shipping Innovation is also delighted to announce that Gibraltar Maritime Services (GMS), a new entity created during LISW25 that brings together the Port of Gibraltar and the Gibraltar Ship Register under one unified brand, will sponsor the LISW27 Post-Conference Rooftop Reception. The flagship evening will host up to 750 delegates and VIP speakers, immediately following the LISW27 Headline Conference.

GMS used the 2025 reception to unveil its new identity that ties the port and flag together, signalling a more integrated approach to growth, service and international outreach. Returning as sponsor under the GMS banner continues Gibraltar’s long-standing support for LISW while showcasing its renewed, unified proposition to the world’s maritime community.

Minister for the Port and Maritime Services in Gibraltar, the Hon Gemma Arias-Vasquez MP, said:“London International Shipping Week is where the global maritime agenda takes shape. I was very pleased to have been able to launch Gibraltar Maritime Services at LISW25 to show how we will deliver our maritime offer to the industry. Our return as sponsors for LISW27 demonstrates Gibraltar’s growing influence as a trusted and forward-looking centre of maritime excellence.”

Aaron Lopez from Gibraltar Maritime Services, said: “Gibraltar Maritime Services brings together the Port Authority, Maritime Administration, the University of Gibraltar’s Maritime Academy and the Department of Business in a way that reflects how the industry actually operates. Supporting LISW27 allows us to, once again, deepen those relationships and continue positioning Gibraltar at the centre of the international maritime conversation.”

Sean Moloney, co-founder of LISW said: “We are delighted that Gibraltar Maritime Services chose LISW25 to launch their new identity and are thrilled that they have already committed to returning to London to sponsor the IMO Rooftop Reception Sponsor for LISW27. The Government-level support shown by Gibraltar is very much appreciated and speaks volumes about the importance of London International Shipping Week to the global shipping and maritime industry.”
