Procureship secures exclusive e-procurement deal with Stolt Tankers to boost fleet digitalisation efforts
Procureship has officially welcomed around 100 deep-sea vessels from Stolt Tankers, one of the world’s leading chemical tanker operators, onto its e-procurement platform as part of Stolt Tanker’s drive to further digitalise the day-to-day procurement operations for its global fleet.
The partnership went live in June 2026 and supports a transition for Stolt Tankers, part of the Stolt-Nielsen group, from its internally developed procurement system, which is due to be retired, to Procureship's advanced e-procurement platform. The move reflects Stolt Tankers' strategic decision to invest in a dedicated technology provider, leveraging Procureship's expertise, machine learning capabilities, and automation to optimise procurement strategies, reduce costs, and improve operational efficiency through data-driven processes.
As part of the collaboration, Procureship designed and built an advanced contracts feature specifically for Stolt Tankers’ operational requirements. The tailored module will enable Stolt Tankers to manage and evaluate their tenders and contracts with stakeholders more effectively, while also having access a centralised contracts repository. It also allows Stolt Tankers to more seamlessly purchase contracted items by automatically generating RFQs and purchase orders (POs) for contracted items or preselected suppliers. This will reduce purchasing cycle times and enable procurement teams to make more informed purchasing decisions, whilst also streamlining how Stolt Tankers interacts with key suppliers.
By partnering with Procureship, which already supports more than 2,600 vessels globally from over 115 shipowners, operators and managers worldwide, Stolt Tankers can streamline its procurement processes, enhance the effectiveness and transparency of its procurement teams and drive greater cost savings across its global fleet.
Discussions are also underway between the two companies to further collaborate as part of Procureship's portfolio of end-to-end procurement solutions.
