TT Club appoints Oscar Egerström as new Commercial Director

TT Club, the leading global transport and logistics insurer, has announced the appointment of Oscar Egerström as Commercial Director.

The appointment marks a significant step in the Club's ongoing commitment to strengthening its relationships with Members, brokers and industry bodies around the world, and to ensuring that its service-led, mutual ethos remains at the heart of everything it does.

The Commercial Director is a newly created global role, reporting to TT Club's Underwriting Director. Oscar will work closely with the Club's Regional General Managers and their teams worldwide to identify and drive strategic initiatives, support broker partnerships, and drive the development of Member-centric products and services, ensuring the Club’s proposition continues to evolve in line with industry needs.

Oscar brings over 20 years of experience in maritime legal, shipping and marine insurance to the role, having spent the last 13 years at TT Club, most recently as part of the UK & Ireland, Benelux, Nordics and broader Eastern Europe and Central Asian underwriting team.

During his time at the Club, he has built a strong track record of fostering valuable and enduring relationships with Members, brokers and industry organisations across a diverse portfolio that spans ports and terminals, ship operators, tank operators, freight forwarders and logistics operators. Oscar has also served as TT Club’s Digital Lead, monitoring emerging technologies and industry developments to help ensure the Club remains at the forefront for its Members.

Andrew Peers, Underwriting Director at TT Club, commented: "Oscar's appointment reflects the importance we place on being close to our Members, brokers and the wider transport industry. As a mutual, our value proposition has always been about much more than just writing a policy - it's about being present, understanding the challenges our Members face, providing solutions and building relationships that stand the test of time”.

Prior to joining TT Club, Oscar held various positions at Glencore, AIG and Trafigura. He holds an LLM in Maritime and International Trade Law from the University of Southampton and a Jur. Kand. (LLM) from Lund University, Sweden.

Commenting on his appointment, Oscar said: “I am delighted to take on this new role and to have the opportunity to work even more closely with our Members, brokers and the worldwide transport industry. TT Club has always been defined by the strength of its relationships and the quality of its service, and I am committed to building on that foundation”.

With increasingly complex supply chain risks and a rapidly evolving industry landscape, the Club is committed to ensuring its membership has access to the expertise, support and insight they need to navigate challenges and seize opportunities.
