Windward Partners with LISW25 at the Charterer Reception to support AI innovation in shipping

London International Shipping Week 2025 (LISW25) is pleased to announce Windward as a partner for the highly anticipated LISW25 Charterer Reception, one of the shipping industry’s most influential gatherings.

One of the most popular events on the LISW calendar, the exclusive evening on 16th September at The Steelyard will bring together more than 400 charterers, shipowners, ship brokers, and cargo interests for an unforgettable night of high-value networking and relationship building in a unique venue set within three beautifully restored Victorian railway arches near Cannon Street.

Windward, a leading Maritime AI company, will contribute its expertise to the week’s wider conversations on the transformative role of technology in global shipping. The company’s advanced vertical and generative AI capabilities help automate global trade, mitigate risk, and detect anomalies early, empowering organisations to anticipate challenges, optimise operations, and navigate a complex regulatory landscape.

Ami Daniel (pictured), co-founder and CEO of Windward, said: "Windward is proud to support London International Shipping Week 2025, a vital forum for shaping the future of global shipping. As Generative and Agentic AI rapidly redefine how the maritime industry operates, LISW25 brings together the leaders, innovators, and visionaries driving that transformation. From risk management and safety to operational intelligence, we believe AI is the key to unlocking a smarter, more resilient maritime ecosystem."

As part of its participation in LISW25, Windward will also be hosting a number of events during the week including ‘Windward Academy – From Policy to Practice: Navigating Maritime Operations in 2025’, a free half-day conference on 17th September which will bring together experts from shipping, finance, law, insurance, and government including the UK Office of Financial Sanctions Implementation (OFSI), The Royal United Services Institute (RUSI), and HFW to foster crucial conversations and knowledge-sharing across sectors. This timely event will address the strategic potential of generative AI, the impact of evolving sanctions policies, and the tools and partnerships that are helping industry leaders tackle operational and compliance challenges.

Welcoming Windward to LISW25, Sean Moloney, co-founder and joint CEO of London International Shipping Week, said: “We are delighted to welcome Windward as a Supporting Sponsor of the LISW25 Charterer Reception. Their pioneering work in Maritime AI is helping to redefine global shipping operations, bringing new levels of insight, safety, and resilience to the industry. Windward’s focus on innovation and collaboration reflects the very spirit of LISW and the conversations that will shape the future of maritime.”

LISW25 will take place from 15–19 September, bringing together global maritime leaders for a dynamic week of high-level events, industry forums, and international collaboration.
