Veson Nautical event in Singapore highlights trusted platform and AI advancements
Maritime software and services provider Veson Nautical brought together more than 200 maritime industry leaders in Singapore last week to discuss the power of a trusted, unified platform to drive productivity and boost efficiency across the voyage lifecycle. As markets grow increasingly complex, a connected platform that harnesses artificial intelligence and unifies workflows is vital to enable smarter, faster decisions.
The event gathered Veson clients and industry leaders, representing more than 60 companies from across the region, to explore how digitalisation is transforming commercial shipping. Sessions highlighted how integrating data and workflows within a single platform provides the foundation for more intelligent decisions when it matters most. Leaders also discussed how AI can act as an enabler of speed, insight, and efficiency.
Chief Product Officer Eric Christofferson spoke about how Veson is thoughtfully integrating AI into its suite of solutions where it can offer clients the greatest value and create more time for critical decision making. Additionally, Christofferson noted the ways in which Veson is verifying AI-driven data at every step of the process to ensure accuracy across workflows.
“What we want to do is free up your time so that you can spend more of it on human interactions and working with teammates on complex and highly strategic, high value work. We are fortunate to have solutions that enable workflows across the entire voyage lifecycle and we think that AI has a place in almost every, if not all, of our products and solutions.”
With the Asia-Pacific region at the centre of global trade flows, leaders’ regional perspectives were critical throughout the event. Discussions highlighted how shipowners, operators, and charterers are adapting to volatile markets, evolving regulations, and increasing sustainability pressure — and how digitalisation is an essential tool to create a decision advantage.
The summit concluded with an executive panel bringing together leaders from Veson Nautical, BHP, IMC Industrial Group, and Wah Kwong Maritime. The discussion underscored how collaboration across the industry is essential to balance the rapid adoption of AI with the need for accuracy, compliance, and resilience in a fast-changing market.
As the industry continues to evolve, Veson Co-founder and CEO John Veson highlighted the importance of streamlining operations and communications to create seamless workflows, and how continued digital transformation is only possible through collaborative partnerships.
“I see so many different channels that are vying for the way we communicate. By delivering a connected platform that streamlines operations and enhances collaboration, we can help clients make smarter decisions in a volatile market. It also enables us to be better partners for our clients, and I'm grateful they are joining us on this journey.”
