‘Managing the winds of change in global shipping’ will be the main theme driving top industry discussion at the International Shipowning and Shipmanagement Summit (ISSS) due to be held on Thursday September 18th as part of London International Shipping Week 2025.

The conference, which will be held at the offices of Preston Turnbull in Seething Lane, near Tower Hill, will bring world leading ship owning and ship management CEOs, together to discuss the challenges facing shipping in the months and years ahead.

Speakers already confirmed include Bjorn Hojgaard, CEO of Anglo Eastern; Mark O’Neil, President and CEO, Columbia Group; Sebastian Hardenberg, CEO BSM and President of InterManager; and Nicholas Goubert, Co-CEO One Ocean/Ocean Technologies Group.

Major shipowners from the tanker, dry bulk and container sectors will also be present, discussing issues such as: Is shipping working in unison to meet the likely challenges over the next five years?

Digitalisation and AI will also come under the spotlight and the conference will ask the question: Is shipping agile enough to embrace the opportunities?

A hard-hitting panel looking at the crew conundrum will feature speakers such as Henrik Jansen, CEO and Founder of Danica Crewing Specialists, and Pradeep Chawla, CEO and Founder of MarinePALS.
