SmartSea set to lead MACNA’s digital transformation in Saudi Arabia
SmartSea has partnered with Maritime Company for Navigation (MACNA), Saudi Arabia’s premier marine mobility solution provider for passenger and cargo transport, to deliver a comprehensive digital transformation that will strengthen the company’s independence and operational resilience.
SmartSea is leading the migration from Google Mail to Microsoft Office 365 and deploying Dynamics 365 Finance to modernise financial processes and improve efficiency. Alongside these core systems, SmartSea is working with MACNA to develop a long-term IT strategy and create infrastructure blueprints for both office and vessel operations. This framework will provide MACNA with a robust and scalable digital backbone to support growth and future fleet expansion.
Alan Rowan (pictured, left), CEO at MACNA, commented: “Partnering with SmartSea is a key step in our journey to becoming a more agile and technology-driven operator. This transformation gives us the tools and independence we need to deliver even greater value to our passengers, cargo clients, and stakeholders.”
Kris Vedat (centre), CEO at SmartSea added: “Digital independence is critical for operators like MACNA, who play a vital role in regional mobility and logistics. By equipping them with the right systems and strategy, we are ensuring their operations are fit for the future and aligned with global maritime standards.”
This collaboration reinforces SmartSea’s focus on helping maritime and offshore operators harness technology to boost efficiency, strengthen compliance, and drive innovation.
