IRS grants type approval to Volteo Maritime’s Electronic Record Book – WAYSHIP

Indian Register of Shipping (IRS), has issued type approval Certificate to WAYSHIP - Electronic Record Book (ERB) developed by Volteo Maritime, marking an important milestone in the indigenisation of shipboard Digital record-keeping in India.
 


Electronic Record Books can help ship operators improve the accessibility, consistency and management of operational records, while reducing dependence on physical documentation. The product can be used for various statutory record keeping onboard ships such as Engine & Deck logbooks, Oil record book, Ballast water Record Book, Garbage record book and MARPOL Annex VI records (VOC, Fuel changeover, Nox Tier II/III switching records, EGCS).  Their adoption can also support more efficient inspection, verification, data analysis and record-management processes.
 


The Type Approval Certificate was recently handed over to Mr Surendra Lingareddy (pictured, left), Founder & CEO, Volteo Maritime, by IRS MD Mr P K Mishra at the IRS head office in Mumbai.
