Vafias Group takes delivery of its 36th and 37th newbuild gas carriers from Japan

Vafias Group is very pleased to announce the successful deliveries of its 36th and 37th gas carrier newbuildings fom Japan, the ECO TEXIANA and ECO NEBULA.

The two ships are fully pressurised 11,000 cbm VCM (vinyl chloride monomer) carriers each built by Sasaki shipyard in Japan for a combined cost of around $80m.

Both vessels are Marshall Islands-flagged, classed by Bureau Veritas and owned by the private side of the group.

Vafias Group has another 13 energy carrying vessels on order: 12 tankers on order at Hyundai HI Korea (4 MRs, 4 LR2s and 4 Suezmaxes) plus 1 gas carrier in Japan. Deliveries are due to starting in Q1 2027 and end in 2029.
