NAMEPA announces its Annual Conference and Awards Dinner in New York
The North American Marine Environment Protection Association (NAMEPA) is has announced its Annual Conference and Awards Dinner, taking place on Thursday, October 30, 2025, at SUNY Maritime College in New York City. This signature event convenes maritime industry leaders, regulators, educators, students, and environmental advocates for a full day of knowledge-sharing, collaboration, and celebration of environmental stewardship in the maritime sector.
The 2025 conference, ‘Powering Progress: Maritime at the Crossroads of Innovation and Impact’, will explore the critical challenges and opportunities facing the industry, from regulatory developments to geopolitical instabilities, technological innovation, and advancing the development of the maritime workforce. Additionally, it will feature a career fair and tour of the SUNY campus for students of nearby maritime and mainstream schools.
The conference includes expert panels, keynote addresses, roundtable discussions, and networking opportunities designed to promote collaboration and practical solutions for protecting the marine environment while supporting global advancement. The event will conclude with NAMEPA’s prestigious Awards Dinner, which recognizes companies, organizations, educators, and individuals who have demonstrated exceptional leadership and a commitment to environmental preservation and resilience in the maritime industry.
