Jotun set to make waves at Nor-Shipping
At this year’s Nor-Shipping taking place 3-6 June, Jotun will launch new innovations that will enable a cleaner shipping industry. A brand-new global report on the industry’s biofouling management and the consequences will also be presented.
In 2011 during Nor-Shipping, Jotun revolutionised the shipping industry with Hull Performance Solutions (HPS), shifting focus to performance. “This year, we are excited to present what we believe will be pivotal in the years to come when the industry seeks to optimise hull performance," says Jessica Doyle, Global Sales Director for Shipping at Jotun
A pioneer in hull performance, Jotun continues to challenge the industry with the Clean shipping commitment, which was recently demonstrated through a DNV verification. It calculated and verified 11.1 million tonnes of CO2 emissions avoided for Jotun coated vessels for 2024 only, saving approximately 2 billion USD worth of fuel along the way for Jotun’s customers. This milestone underscores Jotun’s commitment to help the industry cut carbon emissions, preserve fuel and protect biodiversity.
During Nor-Shipping Jotun will also present a comprehensive industry report that investigates the consequences of biofouling on the shipping industry and explores current biofouling management practices.
