Centus Marine receives hybrid Fast Crew Boat from Strategic Marine
Following the successful debut of Malaysia’s first hybrid Fast Crew Boat (FCB), Strategic Marine is pleased to announce the delivery of the second hybrid FCB to Centus Marine as part of their continued partnership to advance cleaner and more efficient offshore vessel technologies.
The vessel, named Centus Alesha, features Strategic Marine’s hybrid propulsion system, which significantly reduces fuel consumption and emissions. Designed in collaboration with Centus Marine, it supports more sustainable offshore operations while maintaining exceptional performance, reliability and safety.
This delivery builds on the success of the first hybrid FCB delivered in 2024 and demonstrates Centus Marine’s continued commitment to growing a greener fleet and improving efficiency in the offshore energy sector.
Mr. Chan Eng Yew, CEO of Strategic Marine, commented: “The delivery of Centus Alesha reflects our strong and ongoing relationship with Centus Marine. We are proud to contribute another vessel that aligns with our shared mission of leading sustainable innovation in offshore transport.”
Mr. Derick Soo of Centus Marine added: “Centus Alesha represents another big step forward in our decarbonisation efforts. We are excited to expand our hybrid fleet and raise the bar for operational and environmental excellence in the region.”
Together, Strategic Marine and Centus Marine say they are setting new benchmarks in green maritime innovation, reinforcing their shared commitment to providing reliable, future-ready solutions for the offshore industry.
