IRClass Academy and AMET University strengthen maritime education and industry collaboration
IRCLASS Academy, the training arm of Indian Register of Shipping and AMET University have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to foster collaboration in maritime education, research, and industry integration.
The MoU establishes a framework for joint initiatives in curriculum development, research and development activities, internships, and the organization of conferences, seminars, workshops, and guest lectures. The partnership will also support project-based learning, joint supervision of dissertations, and sharing of academic and technical resources, ensuring stronger alignment between academic programmes and evolving industry needs.
A key element of the partnership is the facilitation of internships and structured industry exposure for students, enabling them to gain practical experience and professional insights. The MoU further envisages the organization of joint conferences, seminars, workshops, and guest lectures, fostering knowledge exchange between academia and industry practitioners.
Speaking on the occasion, a representative of IRCLASS Academy said, “This collaboration reflects our commitment to bridging academia and industry. By working closely with AMET University, we aim to equip students with practical insights, technical competence, and industry exposure that will prepare them for the future of maritime operations.”
