ASRY holds workshop to develop ship-repair strategies

As part of its ongoing pursuia of operational excellence and higher service quality, the Arab Shipbuilding & Repair Yard Company (ASRY) last month held a brainstorming workshop aimed at developing the yard’s industrial ship-repair strategies.

Chaired by ASRY CEO Dr Ahmed Al Abri, the session brought together a wide range of technical and operational staff. Their presence reflects the yard’s firm commitment to continuous improvement across all areas of work, through stronger internal integration and solid working links between different teams across departments.

Talks walked through each stage of the repair chain, including tender evaluation, planning and hands-on execution, as part of a full review intended to reinforce efficiency and help technical and administrative teams work together smoothly.

In his opening remarks, Dr Al Abri underlined the importance of strengthening integrated work across the company’s sections and departments, describing it as a key driver of improved performance and operational excellence. He said this approach helps push the yard towards broader prospects of growth and advancement. He also stressed the need to keep developing work methods in step with rising client expectations and in response to changing market demands.

He closed the workshop by thanking every team for its constructive spirit and willingness to improve work mechanisms, adding that their effort mirrors their pledge to push ASRY’s modernisation and long-term growth
