Hafnia selects FrontM’s infotainment solution to enhance onboard crew experience

Hafnia has selected FrontM’s infotainment solutions – Loft Multiplex and Loft Kiosk – as part of a fleetwide upgrade designed to strengthen onboard communication, support safety culture and enhance crew wellbeing.

The decision follows a review of modern infotainment and digital engagement tools and successful vessel trials of FrontM’s technology. The combined suite delivers IPTV with live channels to recreation spaces on Hafnia vessels in tandem with touch-enabled digital kiosks delivering dynamic safety messaging, scheduled HSEQ campaigns, crew engagement features and tailored microlearning content, all supported by FrontM’s centrally managed framework.

Commenting on the upgrade, Surajit Chanda, VP Technical In-House Fleet at Hafnia, said: “Crew wellbeing and engagement remain central to the way we operate. FrontM’s digital solutions offer a thoughtful product that secures a constant news and information flow while strengthening the way safety culture and operational awareness are communicated. This represents a meaningful step in our commitment to support our seafarers and enhance operations across the fleet.”

Su Yin Anand, FrontM’s board advisor, noted: “For a long time, the industry has searched for practical ways to strengthen crew welfare and engagement. With improved connectivity now becoming available, there is a real opportunity to put it to meaningful use. FrontM is filling that gap beautifully, bringing core value to ship management and to the wellbeing of our seafarers. This marks the start of a significant shift in quality of life on board and a welcome break from the monotony that crews have endured for far too long.”

FrontM’s AI-enabled digital toolbox supports a broad range of maritime operational needs, with Loft Multiplex and Loft Kiosk purpose-built for vessel environments. The solutions incorporate shipboard caching, high-quality content delivery and a fully managed curation service, reducing operational overheads for vessel managers. Deployment will be phased across Hafnia’s fleet, with both teams coordinating implementation and content management to ensure a consistent and reliable experience onboard.
