IBIA co-hosts the hugely popular LISW Bunker Party

Shipping Innovation, owner and manager of London International Shipping Week 2027 (LISW27), is delighted to announce that IBIA - the International Bunker Industry Association – has teamed up with specialist bunkering publishing, training and events company ship.energy, to co-host the hugely popular Bunker Party on the first evening of London International Shipping Week 2027, on Monday 13 September 2027.

This is the second edition in a row that the global marine fuels organisation and leading bunkering information service have collaborated to co-host this exciting event.

Last year, in September  2025, more than 830 bunker suppliers, traders, shipowners, and charterers registered for the Bunker Party, making it one of the most successful inaugural events ever organised in the 12-year history of London International Shipping Week. In 2027, there is every sign that the party will be even bigger.

With the bunker and energy sectors traditionally focused on the oil industry’s annual IE Week events, many international bunker suppliers, buyers, traders and brokers have begun to focus their attention more sharply on the enormity of LISW and the potential upside of joining one of the world's biggest maritime gatherings where shipowners and charterers - their target client base - are present in abundance.

The Bunker Party, again supported by a range of strategic partners, is a free-to-attend event that is open only to qualified invited guests who have a genuine involvement in buying or supplying marine fuels. An extraordinary venue, right in the heart of London’s vibrant Covent Garden, has been booked for the event in September next year, and is already expected to be a sell-out with an enthusiastic bunkering crowd likely to break all previous attendance records.

Propeller FuelsRange Shipping and ZESTAs have already stepped up as supporting sponsors but any company directly involved in bunkering and new fuels is eligible to become a supporting partner of the Bunker Party.

According to Llewellyn Bankes-Hughes, ship.energy CEO and Co-Founder and Co-Organiser of London International Shipping Week, the Bunker Party during LISW27 will be a great occasion on its own account, but will also serve as an entry point to the rest of the week which will see at least 350 different events spread across London, the vast majority of which will be free to attend and will be hugely relevant to anyone involved in supplying, trading, buying or handling marine fuels.
