InterMaritime Shipmanagement's General Counsel Eliana Savvidi joins BIMCO Advisory Board

Cyprus-based InterMaritime Shipmanagement announces that Eliana Savvidi, General Counsel, has been invited to join the Advisory Board of BIMCO’s Agentic Contracts initiative.

The initiative, developed in collaboration with BIMCO and technology partner Hunit, is exploring how emerging digital tools can transform traditional maritime contracts into self-executing operational systems. By embedding automation into contractual workflows, the project aims to reduce administrative burden, enhance transparency, and strengthen risk management across the shipping industry.

In her role on the Advisory Board, Savvidi will bring a practical, operationally grounded legal perspective, helping ensure that the development of agentic contract frameworks reflects the realities of day-to-day ship management and commercial practice.

Savvidi’s appointment follows her recent recognition in the Legal 500 GC Powerlist: Greece & Cyprus 2025, underscoring her impact and leadership as an in-house legal professional. She also served as lead counsel in the merger between Intership Navigation and Interorient Navigation to form InterMaritime Shipmanagement, one of the most notable recent transactions in Cyprus’ maritime sector.

Her participation in the BIMCO initiative highlights both her personal contribution to advancing legal innovation in shipping and InterMaritime’s broader commitment to supporting forward-looking solutions that enhance efficiency, governance and digital transformation across the industry.
