Port of London Authority announced as first ever Host Port sponsor for London International Shipping Week 2027 (LISW27)

London International Shipping Week 2027 (LISW27) is proud to welcome the Port of London Authority (PLA) as the first ever Host Port sponsor, strengthening the week’s focus on successful port management and the importance of London as a major maritime and port centre of excellence.

Overseeing the UK’s largest port by volume and its busiest inland waterway, the PLA’s operations cover 95 miles of the River Thames, from Teddington to the North Sea.

The sponsorship reflects the PLA’s long-standing support for LISW. As one of the country’s leading ports, the PLA is a key driver of trade into the UK economy.

The PLA is committed to achieving net zero carbon emissions by 2040 as well as actively working to protect and improve the tidal Thames for all, including championing sustainable alternative fuels, supporting the tidal Thames’ natural environment and communities, and investing in their customers’ growth and resilience. It works to keep commercial and leisure users safe, protect and enhance the environment, and promote the use of the river for trade and travel.
