Cyan Sentinel confirms two long-term MRV contracts totalling £36.5 million
Aberdeen-headquartered offshore vessel operator Cyan Sentinel has confirmed two long-term multi-role vessel (MRV) contracts with a combined value of £36.5 million, reinforcing its ongoing role supporting safety-critical offshore operations in the Southern North Sea (SNS).
The first contract is for the Cygnus Sentinel which has secured a new 3.5-year contract with Ithaca Energy for MRV and emergency response and rescue services on its Cygnus field. The Cygnus Sentinel has served as the Cygnus field emergency response and rescue vessel (ERRV) since the field’s construction in 2015, providing operational continuity and site-specific expertise throughout its deployment.
The second contract will see Forties Sentinel — an identical sister vessel to Cygnus Sentinel supporting offshore operations including emergency response and rescue for Spirit Energy Netherlands over the coming 4.5 years.
Rory Deans (pictured), CEO of Cyan Sentinel, says: “These contracts reflect the importance of continuity, capability and operational familiarity in safety-critical offshore environments.
“Both Cygnus Sentinel and Forties Sentinel were designed to deliver flexible, dependable support and securing long-term MRV and ERRV roles for these vessels allows us to continue investing in our crews, our assets and the standards our clients expect.
“We are continuing the expansion of our state-of-the-art fleet with further vessels under construction due for delivery in 2027.”
The contract confirmations build on Cyan Sentinel’s long-term investment in a modern, standardised fleet designed to support emergency response, DP2 operations and multi-role offshore activity across the UK Continental Shelf and in other geographies.
The contracts also follow the company’s recent rebrand to Cyan Sentinel, marking its next phase of development as part of the Cyan Renewables Group, while retaining local leadership, operational delivery and decision-making from its Aberdeen headquarters.
