Richardson named as new V.Ships Group CEO

Global shipmanagement company V.Ships has appointed Clive Richardson as Group Chief Executive Officer with immediate effect. He will be based in the Group’s London office. David Hoare, who has been acting Group CEO, will return to his position as Non-Executive Chairman.

Mr Richardson joins V.Ships after spending 18 years with BAe Systems. Initially he was employed as Legal and Commercial Director of BAe Airbus, then in the Defence Systems Group, next moving to the role of MD of Royal Ordnance and finally to the position of Chief Executive of Insyte, a subsidiary developing and manufacturing electronic systems for the defence and homeland security markets employing 4,500 highly skilled people. He then joined QinetiQ PLC, the newly privatised Defence and Research Agency, helping it make the transition into a public company.
